Consider for a minute that "going green" and/or "sustainability practices" is a JOURNY. It is about what actions can I begin to take right away that offset the carbon emmissions I generate in my day to day activities toward having a respectable carbon footprint.
There are small things that can be done that have little or no impact to budgets, there are things that have some cost assocaited with them the yeild a ROI within 6-18 months, and then there are actions that are large expenditures that the government will audit and offer rebates to offset the sting of these decisions.
This can be a tough journey, however this should not be about what will this cost me today. It needs to be about what is this going to cost our future generations whose destiny is in our hands. Is it wise to leave behind a world that has rolling black outs every other day due to lack of electricity to support the worlds population? A place with global warming with un-natural climates or a place with out certain species that have become extinct due to our irrisponsible behaivor? Or even worse a place with out our most valued resource......WATER!
There should be no reason what so ever that every one do their part in protecting our world, and anyone who isn't currently doing at least something missunderstands, or isn't educated about the ease of what can be done to make a difference.
